Hakaider is easily my favorite of the Amemiya flicks I've seen (the others being thZeiram, Zeiram 2, and Moon Over Tao). I'm surprised you call it a emss - I find it very lean and to-the-point, and it is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm generally sympathetic to anarchist messages, though.

Hakaider has a ton of fans so you're not alone there. I've always just found it to be a case of style over substance. To be fair, that's a complaint that could be said against most of Amemiya's work. Just doesn't work as well for me here as in Kamen Rider Zo or Zeriam (my two favorite Amemiya films).

I do really like the new Hakaider design though. I hope they kind of stick to that in the new Kikaider film.
