Kind of upset because I found out today that since my work is hosting an early premier I could have gotten four free tickets to go see this in 3D at the local movies but unfortunatly I'll be working during the showing

and I heard two spoilers that I pretty much HATE the sound of )highlight at your own risk, though I'll say the first one isn't THAT spoilery...just a little bit):

Superman is never called Superman. Lois ALMOST calls him that and then instead gets interrupted, then later, he's called "a super man" as a joke...

and the one that REALLY grind my ever-loving gears.
Superman kills Zod in a rather graphic fashion.

Yeh.. the SPOILER FILLED Wired review was brutal

I hate to make a call before seeing the movie, but a lot of reviews (like the Wired one) seem to be stuck on the idea of the ONLY accurate interpretation of Superman being the Chris Reeve movies. Which is ignoring a rich history of over 70 years in comic books where the character has had stories that range from whimsical to comedic to downright dark. There's room for all of them in a movie. And as much as I love the Donner films, its been time to get away from those for a long time now (which is why Superman Returns was so "meh"- it was an entirely outdated take on the characters all based on pre-Crisis stuff).

A question,

First, I kind of figured the ending out by a few slips on supposedly non-spoiler reviews. Makes me angry as this was one film I was actively avoiding reading spoilers about.

Second, what is Superman's code with killing? I thought he never did it...but the more I think of it, I'm pretty sure he HAS to kill on occasion. There's simply no way for him contain a lot of his foes.
Third, I'm pretty sure he is called Superman in the film...christened by a priest no less
