Took the family to see Epic this weekend. I enjoyed it overall. Although there was plenty of action, and a couple of character deaths, this felt like a very "safe" family movie, not even any adult innuendo that some kids films have (which I dont mind btw...) . I enjoyed it as a matinee, but most people are probably going to be content with waiting for this as a Redbox or Netflix rental. The animation was really good, but in terms of story telling, I can clearly see why Blue Sky/Fox is a clear #3 behind Pixar and Dreamworks.

It is odd because the above mentioned Rango (which I really enjoy) was a much more intense film despite the fact that there were no fatalities (except presumably for the mayor in the end).
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

I agree. Sometimes I secretly judge people based on whether they like this movie or not.

So I've been listening to the above collection set recently, in particular the King Kong vs Godzilla and Mothra vs Godzilla soundtracks. Thus decided I'm going to watch both the films tonight. Should be fun!!

Fight Club- It was my first time watching it. I know I know I'm late to the party. I thought it was pretty decent a little out there but decent.

I recently re-watched Monsters and I really enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a rather stunning film when you consider all the stuff stacked against it from a budgetary standpoint. Very impressive film and it's unique among the pantheon of giant monster movies in its take on the monsters and its moments of beauty and serenity.

Never Say Never Again - I knew going in this was the black sheep of the Bond flicks but man... it had no energy. The only thing that grabbed my attention was the shark attack scene. I'm amazed what they were able to do with live sharks or they had some damn good animatronics. Also this is the only Bond with writhing nude-ish sex scenes. Fair amount of side boob.

And I also rewatched Star Trek Insurrection but with the commentary with Frakes and Marina Sirtis on the Blu-ray. Man was that a blast. I swear they were drunk. Marina kept commenting on how nice looking other actresses were and Frakes was all geeked up saying things like "Look at that shot! YEEESSS!" If you got the Blu, watch that commentary it's a blast.
