New Prime tonight. I loved the new intro, also loved the tons of Predacon cameos. For all of the flaws of this and season 2, I still have fun with this show.

I really liked he horror film feel of this episode. The jokes were great. Starscream and Knockout were a great duo... even if treading on a place I hoped Transformers would never go. Also Soundwave shows why he's the bot, transferring Airrachnid and the Insecticons to a Barren moon of Cybertron. I'm thinking this might play out in the "Movie" finale.

I know this had no Autobots at all, but this is the 3rd episode without Prime. I'm actually starting to miss him. I think we get a couple weeks of a break then back for the final 1/3 of he season.

Like-wise. I still don't understand this writing-off of Optimus. I've met Cullen, he's a wonderful guy and plays the character exactly as he should and has always been. Anything else is a poor imitation. (Animated) Optimus is a presence due to being iconic alone, but I still think they've given him a couple of good arcs here and there without stepping on his legendary status.

That said, while the last few episodes hurt without him around, this one did not. This was a very different type of episode with a lot going on, but never feeling rushed. I like where this puts a lot of the Decepticons. For such a short season things have become very interesting. It really felt season 1 good. I enjoyed it a lot.

Sometimes I feel like the pacing is a little too fast. I feel like if this were season 2 we would have had an episode or two of Soundwave still captured to amp the suspense a little. I gotta say, Season 3 has brought on some of the most fun fight choreography of the series. Though. Prime vs. Predaking was a lot of fun, but Magnus and Wheeljack vs. Predaking in the previous episode? Wow.... Eat your heart out Bay.
