How can they justify that price. Can't say I'm all that excited for it, considering the thousands of Kiryu figures Bandai has already done.

Maybe the scale changed, but more likely they are making smaller runs because of how niche this market is. Smaller runs means higher prices to turn a profit.
It should not be more complicated than Destoroyah or Ghidorah from an engineering perspective... Maybe its a lot of die-cast or something. The hesei MG + Garuda pack came out to around the same price if you bought both when they first came out, so maybe they are doing real accessories again.

It'd be crazy if it came with enough pieces to swap out and make it look like the Tokyo S.O.S. version as well. >_>

That'd be neat, unlikely but neat.

It is a little lame to get a Kiryu (I have like...8 figures of the design), but I prefer this over anything Heisei and at least they've dipped into Show and Millennium. Hopefully we'll get a lot more to come :D
