Not sure if it is just me, but for some reason, TCM always shows 'Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" during the Easter season. I will keep tabs next year.

TCM showed bizarre Japanese cult flick Kurotakage last night.
Further proof that's they're awesome.

Interesting. No Columbia Logo, the Toho Logo, Japanese text intact, but the American dub.
I wonder what else is in this print.
Ultraman. Is a Dick. A Big Dick.

^Vincent Price is the star of the month, and they'll be showing a whole lot of his non-horror films, too. Nice write-up for him here:

I could kick myself for missing Godzilla King of the Monsters! on TCM a month or so ago. It was a part of the Essentials Jr. series they have every summer, meant to introduce classic films to young folks. I'd have liked to see Bill Hader's into and outro for it.
A clip of Godzilla has been part of the promo for the series all summer and the classic KOTM poster is prominently displayed on this year's set right over Hader's shoulder.

Usually they reserve a certain day of the week for showing horror films throughout October, but it seems this year they're clustering it all on the week of.

Was looking for the Chaney Sr. Phantom of the Opera up there (still haven't seen it), and it isn't a part of their Halloween programming. Turns out it's actually on next Monday, Sept the 22nd.
... and speaking of silent movies; as someone who really wants to catch up on silent cinema I'm looking forward to November, which will showcase many of the most well known silents every Monday.
