Looks around, I could have swore I pulled up Monster Zero forums and not Toho Kingdom.
It's a movie folks....one with a modest yet devout following. As such the one truth to all of this is that each of us has our own ideal on what we want this to be, how Godzilla should look, who he should fight, what cities should be destroyed, who should star, what the story should be, who the composer should be, what effects house to use and who the Best Boy should be.
The reality is we don't know what we are going to get, all current evidence points to something that will be at least complimentary to the legacy of the character and that it would appear that Gareth is trying to do it right.
More than debating what people's reactions should be, what we truly need to realize is that Mr. Edwards and crew are aware that they have a big footprint to fill. I would not want to be in his shoes and for the sake of the film and his career I hope he limits any decisions based on fan desire to a minimum. Keep Godzillas design faithful but evolutionary, use the Spfx to the advantage of the material and while I love the addition of Takarada as a gesture not only to the man himself but to fandom and Japan, lets not be too heavy on the tie in's. Bring us something that many old fans can rave about but really focus on bringing in new fans so we can get the trilogy most hope for, to life.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!
