Although I'm a bigger fan of reoccurring themes that become more recognizable throughout the film (either through orchestra or electronics) I have to give it up to the score for Dredd. I thought the industrial sound was anything but generic. It was actually kind of a brave move in a Zimmer dominated world. (Not that I have a problem with that either.)

No doubt it won't tickle everyone and it's not the easiest thing to listen to on its own, but it's a pretty good score. Most importantly, it's quite appropriate.

I'm not saying it's a bad score by ANY means...but I'm flabbergasted that anyone would say it's a favorite...

Looks like a sequel is definitely out of the cards, but they are planning a short film (a la Punisher: Dirty Laundry).

After continued strong DVD & Blu-ray sales, 2000AD have launched an official petition for a sequel:

It's a step in the right direction, and I'll take any small glimmer of hope I can get, no mater how potentially futile it might turn out to be (plus I'm pretty sure not signing it is a mandatory 6 months in the cubes)!
