I'm not trying to be self serving here, but I had a hard time to think he wasn't going to be in it. It's too much of a cool thing to have an actor from the first G flick ever, and put him in the reboot. It's a nice tip of the hat.

Also that Hawk gif always gets me. :lol:

Can we now go ahead and speculate on/pull out of our posteriors ideas about the nature of Takarada's cameo? Just a "random Japanese guy" bit? It'd be neat if it was a brief glimpse of Ogata being interviewed on TV about the re-appearance of Godzilla, assuming that this new film acknowledges the original film as canon, of course.
