So, the time has come to create a spoiler thread about filming. We should probably start posting anything filming related behind spoiler bars just incase somebody doesn't want to see this information. Anyway... a few new information posted from twitter the other day

Curious, but would you guys want Edwards to do the same thing Peter Jackson did with his King Kong diaries? Those KK diaries were sometimes fun to watch, but honestly, I didn't need to know everything going on. It sort of kills some of the fun.

I shamelessly am copying my post on the Godzilla subreddit. Here's some of my thoughts on a possible movie location.

With the different angles you can see what kind of shots are possible for the movie. It looks like that they aren't hiding the Northerwestern look of the sets, so I wouldn't be surprised if the film takes place in a Washington area.

I'm just spitballing, but Washington makes for a good location for a few reasons:

1) There's a lot of water so Godzilla could easily swim through the sounds.

2) Bangor submarine base is one of the highest concentrations of nuclear weapons in the world.

3) The Hanford Nuclear Waste site in Hanford, Washington. It's where the US enriched plutonium and uranium for nuclear weapons, including what was dropped on Japan.

3) We share the Pacific with Japan, so it's a little more feasible for Godzilla to attack us, than say, swimming around South America or Africa and attacking NY again.

4) I live in the area and I would die of a fan-overload if Godzilla destroys Seattle (I'm biased in this matter).

Oh the irony.

Although I'm not from Vancouver Island itself, I am from the Vancouver area. It's only a ferry trip away. Now I'm living in Japan...

I would have loved finding out where they were shooting and go watch. Even try to get in on a scene where everyone is running away.
