i kinda hate that the movie is now moving forward...because now we're just re-hashing old arguments...

"Godzilla should only take place in Japan"
"No, let's get big stars"
"No, let's get an all-Japanese cast."
"No, only my idea is valid"

I just don't care. I JUST want a good movie. I mean, if this movie is Dark Knight quality (not saying it will be, but IF), but Godzilla didn't have the design you want, or the tone you want, or the specific roar you want, or the flame color you want, or Japanese actors, or non-Japanese actors, or characters who are "too attractive", or a Toho foe got the "Zasz-treatment"....would you REALLY care?

This movie could have porcupine Godzilla, with Godzilla's origin being that he's created by aliens (the absolute worst thing about that Jan De Bont script), and King Ghidorah could show up only to get dispatched within 45 seconds, but if it's a good movie, I don't care. If it's a good movie, I wouldn't care if Godzilla talked.
(I'll grant that some of the things I said preclude the movie from being good for the most part, but I think the point remains)

I think it should go without saying that we all feel the same, but it's not a crime if people state their prefrences of what they'd LIKE to see.

Given that the teaser poster has Godzilla spelled out in katakana, I would very much appreciate that aspect of the character to be at least somewhat present in the film. I too simply want a good film but the Japanese element is something that I'd miss if it were completely absent.

This isn't really news, I'm just trying to get someone to share something damnit!!! This is from a guy who did Pre-Vis for the movie a couple years ago. It was just cool he responded, didn't really provide anything new.

I did a few pre-vis/keyframes for Godzilla a couple of years ago, yes. Unfortunately nothing I dare show just yet unfortunately, but I'll post them whenever I can

All I can say is that the creatures are gonna be huge, (think Pacific Rim). I'm really stoked for it
