Well nothing about Superman to me has him brooding and doing all this introspective soul searching stuff. Superman CAN do those things, and HAS (even in both the Donner film and SR), but that's not the core of what makes that character or his best adventures what they are... that's what makes Batman... not Superman. And it isn't Spider-Man either no matter how badly Avi Arad wants it to be.

Nothing about a Superman movie should feel "Nolan-esque" if you want my honest opinion.

I was going to write a longer explanation of my boredom with dark and brooding heroes and appreciation for brighter, fun heroes - but it's late in the morning and I gotta go to work, so this will have to do:

I want a film version of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, with big parts for Captain Marvel (not 'Shazam'!) and Plastic Man.
