While I always enjoy the road to Wrestlemania (and this year is no exception) and my standards are particularly low when considering the WWE writing, I was supremely disappointed with the complete and utter LAZINESS of the "Ryback vs. Mark Henry" setup. Vickie Guerrero is taking Ryback off the team? Why?
It'd be so easy, with everything that has happened on WWE TV lately to allow the match to happen organically...just have Ryback request it since Mark Henry took advantage of him on Smackdown. Boom. Done. Instead it's lazily plopped down by the manager for no reason at all. Didn't like that.

Likewise on the Ziggler/Langston vs. Hell No setup. No champion should look forward to putting their title on the line...Bryan should have said NO. Then Vickie books Hell No vs. Ziggler/Langston in a non-title match, where if Ziggler/Langston win, then they get the title shot. And if Ziggler/Langston lose, Big E is banned from ringside for Ziggler's matches forever. Ziggler cheats to get the win in a quick match, so you don't spoil the PPV, and the Mania match is set.

Make Ziggler/Langston EARN a title shot...

A lesser complaint is that I think I would have liked Miz to win the IC title, to set up a Wrestlemania match where Barrett gets his rematch. Just kinda minor since it's gonna be Barrett/Miz anyway.

I liked everything else about last night's Raw...the Lesnar/HHH match is setting up nicely, and after 4 straight years of face-vs-face matches involving Undertaker, it feels fresh to have him face-off against a legitimate heel.
Also, Rock vs. Cena is not a match I am looking forward to very much, but I am LOVING what it's doing for Raw. It feels like the 90s, when the company had enough stars and confidence to allow different people to close the show every night.

The only match that looks like it's shaping up right now that I don't even remotely want to see is Jericho vs. Fandango. I absolutely hate Fandango's gimmick, speech pattern, and storyline, and Jericho is above a match with what is one of the worst gimmicks of the past 10 years.

I thought Del Rio vs. Cody was a great match AND the added Swagger attack made for an excellent segment. I'm not that into Del Rio as a face (and neither was the crowd last night, by the sound of things), but I do love the feud between him and Swagger right now.

As for the Cena stuff, he's gonna squash someone one way or another...I'd rather it be at the beginning of the night, against someone who has no momentum anyway, than at the end of the night, at the expense of someone who needs to build some momentum (like Ziggler, for example).

100% agreed on Fandango, and kind of agreed on Brodus/Tensai. I think there's potential there for them to be billed as a fun gimmick, but the WWE doesn't like to give those fun things legitimate pushes, as evidenced by their treatment of Ryder and Santino. Santino could be both super fun and funny and a great in-ring talent, but they don't let him actually be competitive.
but yeah, Fandango is one of the worst gimmicks, and debuting it around this time of year is just a blemish on what is otherwise a solid Wrestlemania season.

I found this week's Raw pretty blah, it was lame 1/2 hour promo after half hour promo ok I'm exhagerating the length of the promos but they where pretty lengthy.

Looking forward to Mania going to a friends house to watch it.
