Although I am a fan of some very long movies (including some by the likes of Kurosawa and Leone, for example), I can also very much see where Jelly is coming from. Long because there really is so much worthwhile material is great, but long because nobody knew how to kill their babies? Not so much.
Remember, if a movie leaves you wanting more, that's a good thing. If it feels like it's exhausted all avenues and left you with nothing else to think about, then it had better have done so absolutely flawlessly, or else it'ss probably allowed some black marks to sully itself and would have been better off with a little trimming.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.
