Ugh, The Joker thing bothered me until he stated it was the Jack Nicholson version from Batman, unless he just got that wrong. I definitely get more of a Hannibal Lecter thing from the trailers.

So Abrams will still at least produce a third star trek film.

Oh, and the Prequel comic started, co-written by Orci. The biggest surprise being that the guy (in the original timeline anyway) who was in charge of the Enterprise before Pike is found on a planet originally considered to be primitive. Robert April appeared on a Star Trek: TAS episode, and coupled with the report that during a visit to the Bad Robot offices a concept sketch entitled "April's Gatling Gun" was seen, this being the gun we see Cumberbatch using in the trailers. I suspect Cumberbatch's character, John Harrison, was probably a member of April's crew.
