Great topic. Hopefully this one can generate some great discussion and recommendations like your 80s Creature Feature thread did a few years back.

My top 10 would probably look something like this:

The Invisible Man
Incredible Shrinking Man
THEM
The Fly (the original being the one on the list here, but I do wanna give a shoutout to the sequels in the trilogy- the original and Curse are great. Not a huge fan of Returns, but it has Vincent Price and he's awesome as always, so it gets a pass). I Highly recommend the DVD Box set. The Cronenberg film will always be the absolute essential Fly film, but the originals are good too.
Creature from the Black Lagoon
20 Million Miles To Earth
The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms
Forbidden Planet
The Thing From Another World
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (I like the 70s version more but I still can't deny the greatness of the original).

Also, I love The Mole People. Always felt like an allegory about race to me. Felt sorry for the Mole People...they're not monsters, their masters were the monsters.

The Tingler is one of the movies I wanna see in theaters more than any other, with buzzers and everything (they do those at revival screenings from time to time.)

I think of something like Bert I. Gordon's movies as true "B" pictures. Attack of the Puppet People & Village of the Giants were my two favorites.

I could name something like "Forbidden Planet", but that ended up being one of the most expensive movies MGM made up to that time (and I think only Gone with the Wind was a movie that costs more). Just like some don't consider Gojira as a B film, because it had high production costs, would the same be true for "Forbidden Planet"?
