Hi everyone, I hardly every post, just scan the boards every now and then.

Here is Larry Quach's LinkedIn page. If the link I posted above does not work, just Google search Larry Quach and the third result leads to him. He is concept artist at Rhythm and Hues in the greater LA area. If you look a bit down on the page, it says that he was a concept artist intern at Lin Pictures Production Company. he describes one of his tasks at Lin Pictures as being "Concept art for movie projects in development". He was at Lin from May to Sept 2010.

This Lin Pictures Production Company appears to be associated with the same Dan Lin who is now involved with the Legendary Pictures lawsuit.

On his Larry Quach personal website, it looks as if those Godzilla pictures were posted in November of 2011, http://larryquachart.com/2011/11/. Therefore it looks as is he did not dump those pictures online just recently out of spite in support of the deposed Dan Lin.

So it seems as if it is possible that Larry Quach has been at least in the past, legitimately associated with the Godzilla project.

Well, maybe he was, but I guess it's safe to assume they did not end up going with those two new monsters since even though he waited to post them, he still posted them, and we know LP wouldn't want that. As far as the Godzilla design goes, maybe there's some tweeks here and there, but that's probably what they will be going for as that and the shirt from CC a few years ago are pretty similar.

it seems to me that the Godzilla design won't be anything ground-breaking or earth-shattering. I'm more than OK with that. Tweaks can be made, but I want something that is recognizably Godzilla.


Good point on the two other monsters, for sure. Like you said, it's unlikely LP would allow him to post concept art that's still under consideration.

I kind of think if they were going to go with a four legged kaiju, they should have just put Anguirus in there. You're right though, that choice of a four legged kaiju just isn't appealing... too smooth etc.

That's kind of why I dig the concept of two Godzillas. One was a little bit closer to the explosion, maybe even a slight species variation and that's why you get the rough, scary Godzilla ala 54. Then you have another beast that maybe absorbed the radioactive fallout, but not the blast itself ala the more reptilian Godzilla 62.

My post is total fanboy BS but

Back to the moral of the story. If you're gonna have a Godzilla that's the result of an atomic bomb he needs to looks monstrous and asymetrical.

But like Jelly said, the final designs may not look anything like this stuff, and since Legendary hasn't taken it down...it prob doesnt.
