"I wanna a Coke!"

Spinning flame-jetted turtles, space birds being chopped up like bologna, kids in shorts screaming for help...the original Gamera series was a strange mix of wacky fun!! The 90's Gamera films set a standard that other kaiju films are measured against! Discuss Gamera films here!!

"I wanna a Coke!"

I've only seen the original japanese version of Gamera vs Zigra once about ten year agos durring a Wow Wow Gamera marathon, but can anyone remind me what the little girl was originally saying? Does she say "juice" or "kora"?? (Tokyoites at least use juice to refer to carbonated beverages.) Or does she actually ask for a coca-cola??

Or did sandy frank have some deal with Coke to pepper his dub with product placements (If I recall Gamera vs Zigra got a more auspacious US premeir than GMK did..... 8pm on a Saturday night on USA Network)?

Or did he just hire such an incompotent dubbing cast that they actually call ALL sodas Coke?

I want answers, damn it!

Barugon and Gyaos were the international dubs. Gamera, Guiron and Zigra were from somewhere else. I think.
