i really think you all are confusing CT for TK or Toyzilla... if you look over the last 15 or so pages you'll see the majority of recent posts spend more time critiquing the line and critiquing the fandom of the line. Seriously the only time i have seen someone around here claim there was a "be-all, end-all interpretation of the character" was the Gigabrain Showa Ghidorah.
I think this current thread probably breaks down
5% announcements
45% conjecture
40% critiques and review discussion
10% lavish praise
Seriously most of undying goodwill for this series snapped off right around the same time Ghidorah's wings fell off for some of the early adopters (although isn't releasing a 'fragile wing ghidorah' a rite of passage for a toy line

? It sure isnt the first or worst offender in for that title )
Personally i love the sculpt for the adult Destoroyah, but at the price i would love it more at 25cm. I am looking forward to adding a flying Destoroyah to my collection (i currently have none of any size) and I am also looking forward to finally owning a Biollante that almost looks like Biollante.. even with the proportions being off, its leagues better than the droopy jawed Bandai Standard, will hopefully cost less and take less space than the X-Plus, and fit in with the colors and style of my collection better than the designer vinyls (Marmit and M1)
I am not looking forward to more Godzillas (although they must be selling well because they keep making them) so I will probably be skipping anything that doesn't blow me away with the sculpt. I am also not looking forward to a Showa announcement on account of having decent figures of most characters (with the exception of Gabara and Titanosaur) so I would cherry pick that line just to fill gaps or get some of my favorites from the rogues gallery.
Overall i am just happy we have new toys to talk about since no one is talking about the old toys. It would be nice to see more threads like the 'Marmit Monster Heaven Appreciation Thread' or the 'Toy Company Spotlight: Gigabrain' thread pop up.
