I thought that was pretty hilarious and was obviously meant as a joke article.

Anybody who even knows who James Gunn is should know that his sense of humor is very un-PC. And anybody who knows anything about James Gunn or has actually payed attention to any interviews with the man will be the first to tell you he's in no way a serious sexist or homophobe. Also f*ck uber-PC sensitivity. I have no tolerance for racism, sexism or homophobia, but this is clearly not meant to be taken seriously, and if anything, he points out just how horribly women are portrayed in comic books... he's just doing it with very un-PC humor.

Sounds like some people are getting way too oversensitive about the guy that directed TROMEO AND JULIET making fun of their precious comic book characters and mocking the utter sexism of the comics industry.

I'm sure this "Lady Geek" chick must have heard a "whooshing" sound a lot when she was reading that article.

I hate being PC as well...I think the comments are pretty disgusting, and there are better ways of fighting sexism/ racism...like creating characters that defy stereotypes (tangent, the tough uber, bad ass chick who's an equal to men has become a cliche, and almost a form of sexism at this point as it's a stereotype used to show women how to be strong...i.e they should act like men).

Still, these type of comments are what you'd expect from him. It's his schtick. It's a non-issue. It'd be like complaining that Nickleback wrote a horrible song for your movie...you dicks you hired Nickleback, what were you expecting?!?
