After rewatching the first film the other night and thinking about it last night the clone saga could be plausible, near the end of the film when Spidey gets shot they did do that long pause on the blood hand-print.

If they do the clone saga they should do it down the line get other major arcs out of the way.

I personally see us getting Chameleon especially considering how big this series is on the whole Peter's parents thing, Venom and Carnage.

So in other words I think we're going to get hybrid of 616 Universe and Ultimate Universe. :wink:

Check out the Superhero Hype forums or even the IMDB boards. People LOVE TASM and I don't know why. KG's GINO analogy isn't too far off base, only GINO is a poor movie any way you slice it (I've never gotten the "It'd be good if it wasn't called Godzilla" people), and TASM is merely a VERY average, yet sloppy film.

But yeah, a lot of people love it and act like the Raimi movies they worshipped are awful now.

Kinda like how nobody likes the Burton Batman movies anymore now that Nolan's films are out there... I was never huge on the Burton movies but I remember when they were HUUUUUUGE.

Right on point, but as another person that doesn't like Spider-Man 2, for me, its the PP/MJ dynamic that totally and utterly destroys the entire film for me. Its hard to root for the hero to get the girl at the end when she's such a b*tchy skank for the entire film (and throughout part 3 as well). Everything else is done fairly well and I think Alfred Molina was great and the fight on the subway is amazingly staged, but the central arc of the story (Parker/MJ) drives me up the f*cking wall.

For me, SM 1 is the way to go.
