Me personally, I'd hold off on buying it if it was going to be over $25.

A lot of new movies can be bought for cheaper, so for a movie like this, I'd buy without hesitation under $20.

Between $20 and $25, I'd hem and haw but probably end up buying it because I love the movie and want a good presentation.

Over $25, and I'd wait and buy it aftermarket or just wait till someone was doing a sale or something...

Why does the age of a film matter when deciding whether or not to purchase it on home video? :lol:

Thanks Cody for copying those comments. I commended mxg744 for his honesty and bringing forth this news. This is NOT a repeat of the Media Blasters fiasco. EBHE is keeping the fandom informed, and working WITH Toho to get extras approved. Its not as if discs with the extras actually were manufactured, THEN put on hold. Nobody will have to double-dip now if they dont want to. EBHE could have been like MB, and said screw it all, and just profit knowing many fans would purchase the film twice, and scew Toho figuring they (MB) are most likely going out of business anyway. But EBHE is a seemingly bigger, classier operation. I'm thinking they want to stay in business, so a little financial loss (or delay in profits) now will save them from fan outrage later, and a costly lawsuit with Toho.

I figure I will meet them half way. I will probably purchase the bare bones DVD on release day (for 5 bux you cant beat that!), and purchase the BRD once the commentary is approved and we have confirmation that copies containing it have been released.

I was initially going to. But I'm betting they wont since he strongly urged fans that want the commentary NOT to purchase the DVD on release day. But still I guess it wont hurt to ask.
