When Holloway initially takes off his helmet, I didn't really think much of it. The other scientists protest so it at least they acknowledged the fact that it was a pretty risky thing to do. Plus, Holloway is portrayed as being kind of an impulsive kind of guy, so it seems consistent with his character. But then after Holloway gets sick, you'd think that when they go back into the pyramid with Weyland, the other scientists would wear the helmets because, as Shaw says, "We still don't know how Holloway was infected."

Alone, it isn't a huge thing, but it's just that this movie has such a huge list of minor problems that it makes the film overall feel like it wasn't executed very well. Upon reflection, I don't think the movie's terrible...I appreciate some of the things Prometheus was trying do but both times I watched it, something just felt really off.

Just watched it again with the fiance. She enjoyed it, but felt that is was pretty sh*tty to just tack on the major connection to Alien in the last 20 seconds.

I still feel the movie is an insanely watchable mess. I do love a lot about it though. Also, for me...Shaw is my favorite character of the year so far in film. Don't know why...the mix of fragility and strenght, hope and realism, science and faith makes her inspiring and a treat to watch. For that matter, David is just as complicated and awesome. David is probably tied with Shaw in my book. My top three of the year is deff topped off with Bane.

Watching it again, I found myself noticing and being bothered by alot of the holes and some questionable moments that didn't bother me at the theater. But I still enjoy the hell out of it.
