Don't get too optomistic, guys. Steve and Stuart have been talking about this on Facebook and have no idea what's going on and never got any message from Toho or MB about the disc getting cleared and this being OK. They're almost positive that the extras are still not cleared. They seem to believe that if it were cleared, someone would have contacted them.

They believe that this was a mistake on MB's part and they accidentally pressed a bunch of discs with uncleared extras. They are even offering to pay someone who got one so they can get their own copies

This is actually BAD news since Toho WILL NOT be happy about it when it gets back to them.

I'm sure there'll be some updates on this in the next few days, but right now this isn't looking good.

I'd LOVE to get a version of this (especially since if this really IS the debacle Ed and Steve seem to think it is, we're pretty much NEVER going to get that special edition), but I really don't wanna risk blindly buying another copy with my fingers crossed.

The best we can hope is that some kind fellow will rip the commentary track and upload it on a file sharing site.

ALSO, apparently these features ARE NOT listed on the back covers of the DVDs, so there is no way to identify one in a store.

So don't go to the store and expect to know what you're buying. It'll be a total crapshoot.

So far, all signs are pointing towards "HOLY CRAP, MAJOR MAJOR F*CK UP" on Media Blasters' part.

Pretty sure we can say goodbye to the real special edition and the Blu-Ray now.

Also, apparently they still never paid Stuart all the money they owed him for his work, so now HE could also have a lawsuit on his hands if he so pleases.

I'm not sure there's a more unprofessional video company out there... seriously, wtf is wrong with these guys? I know it must be overwhelming having a company that consists of like 4 people, but this is ridiculous.

Any news yet on if the serial number is different on the case? I saw some discussion trying to discern if it's possible to tell it apart that way.
