^I didn't really have much of a problem with this half season past that in keeping the Ponds this long kinda felt like DW in a holding pattern.

I really liked Angels in Manhattan and Asylum of the Daleks. Dinosaurs slightly less so, I like half of the Power of Three (I loved all the character interaction stuff but thought the caper in hand ended up being lame), and didn't like Town Called Mercy (which is a shame, as I love westerns).

I loved how Angels and Manhattan isn't predicated on some big story arc: they happen to run into the Angels so the Ponds have to leave. I like that it's fairly simple.

I think the thing that bothered me...is the whole "I can't go back and get them thing." I mean...the Doctor and Martha got sent back in time. Why is this suddenly so dangerous? New York couldn't handle another paradox? Nonsense.

Oh, I'm not that hung up on it, but it is weird. The angels were Moffat's creations after all.

In the end, I'm thankful the Ponds are trapped where they are, I had long grown weary of them.

It depends because I already pay for Netflix and Funimation. If everyone started charging, then I might as well get cable again, since it would end up costing the same. However, I do pay for my internet though, so I am still technically paying for the shows I watch.

As I have said before though, I support the shows by buying the DVDs/BDs.

Here was my Doctor Who collection back in Nov last year:

Here is my Toku shelf (I also import DVDs/BDs of stuff I get fansubs of):

What the hell? There were only 5 episodes? That blows.

Anyway, I watched both The Power of Three and Angels Take Manhattan and they were both great. I've gotta say that this feels like the most complete story for a set of companions. The angels were awesome, and I love Rory's comment, "I always wanted to see her, but I guess she got impatient."
