I just finished watching the first Daimajin movie. I went into this pretty fresh with very little knowledge of the series. I love samurai flicks, so this was very enjoyable on that level alone. Picture quality was fantastic, and the sound was decent for stereo. If there was one nitpick, it's that I wish the Majin's footstep sounds were more consistent. Otherwise the effects were great!

Looking forward to the rest. :)

Just finished the second movie. Again, excellent picture quality and sound. After the plot setup, I was wondering what more they could add to the "Lord abuses the people and says he's bigger than God" theme that provokes the Majin. Thankfully, they added some new story angles and the Majin does some new stuff with some pretty cool effects.

I think the first movie felt a bit more....primal? I think that's the word. There was a genuine fear of the Majin from the people that wasn't present here where he was viewed as more benevolent. One of my favorite parts from the first movie is after the Majin pins the evil lord, and then proceeds to take his rampage into the village, which I took as why its so important to not provoke God's wrath because he might not know where to stop.

That aside, this was a great experience. I'm really curious now to see what part 3 can bring new to the table.
