So a large part of the fandom seems to have come away pretty disappointed with the Season 3 premiere but I personally thought it was excellent. Not as great as Season 2's two-parters but still very solid and enjoyable. Can't wait to rewatch it soon.

Too Many Pinkies...GREAT EPISODE! So many great gags, I loved it!

Okay, so let's recap!

Too Many Pinkies: Didn't do a lot for me upon my first viewing but I think that was because I was SO EXHAUSTED from having just produced Nivis Ex Machina that weekend. My opinion of it improved significantly the second time around. Pacing is a bit breakneck but the gags are fantastic.

One Bad Seed: FANTASTIC. Bad Seed is officially my favorite song the series has produced to date! Loved the Babs Seed character and I REALLY want her to make another appearance in the future.

Magic Duel: TRIXIE! Excellent, very cinematic episode! My Little Pony meets The Empire Strikes Back - quite literally! The ending felt a little odd but the rest of the episode was too good to let it bring the whole thing down.

Sleepless in Ponyville: Best episode of the season! Scootaloo! LUNA! The animation has been great this season and especially so in this episode. Josh and I said "WOW" out loud multiple times throughout.

Wonderbolt Academy: Perhaps a lesser episode compared to the last few but not by very much. More fantastic animation and it's great seeing Rainbow Dash getting closer to realizing her dreams. The Wonderbolt cadet uniforms looked great too and I kind out would love to see them as alternate costumes for the Wonderbolts themselves!

Haven't watched The Apple Family Reunion yet (will get to that later today or tomorrow) but this episode summary really got my attention:

"Keep Calm and Flutter On" - 1/19/2013

"Princess Celestia tasks the ponies with reforming Discord, a mischievous spirit of disharmony, but Fluttershy is the only one who is willing to give him a chance."

I liked Apple Family Reunion. Although the "Applejack over does it" plot has been retread with her a bit much in my opinion, but it doesn't ruin it. Minor Spoilers ahead. Babs makes a return, which I'm all for keeping continuity. Also there's a subtle hint at AJ's parents' fate.

Wait, so no new episode until the 19th or are you just pointing out that episode description?
