So at wal-mart we have this preorder thing where you buy it for $25 get the digital copy instantly since Prometheus is out on digital then they mail you the BD/DVD combo pack.

I read enough of this thread to get initial reactions from most of you guys, but didn't read ALL of it. I finally saw this movie yesterday and I came away feeling a lot like MFW. I loved. Definitely one of my favorite scifi movies of the last 10 years.

The only "plot holes" I thought were a bit hard to understand were how stupid the scientists were in this movie.

Why would they take their helmets off? I can understand David acting without regard for the environment around them, but have none of these people even though about the possibility of alien microbes or spreading our own microbes to an alien environment and contaminating it?

Also, why would a biologist not be interested at all in examining alien lifeforms... then later get so friendly with one that he gets himself killed?

Those moments really irked me. Otherwise this movie was pure brilliance. I went into it without any expectations and an open mind and I was rewarded. Incredible.
