sachiel, that's a hell of a stylized vinyl to start with! Setting the bar high lol

It's definitely one of the best if not THE best King Ghidorah vinyl out there.

Mike seems to be able to get a hold of most anything. Can't recommend him enough.

And I think I'm happy with my Kong stuff, now :D

Got a couple of packages in the mail yesterday...

Image
2000 release Garamon and original 1983 plastic tag King Joe dead mint with no damage or sticker loss. That's pretty incredible on it's own. Even better was the price. $5 on ebay.

Got some stuff in today. Marusan Varan, Marmit Parababy Guiron, and M1 Manda (with bonus mini Hedorah)

Image

I'm not sure how I feel about the Varan; the figure itself is fantastic--one of the best Varans I've seen--but I didn't realize when I bought it that it was unpainted. Still, for the price, very happy. May or may not have it custom painted at some point.

Image

Image

Manda is great, as expected from M1. One thing I did NOT expect from them, though, was this glob of weird, orange, sticky stuff inside the bag that got on Manda's neck. Not the worst thing in the world since it's just going to be a display piece, but it's kind of annoying, so if anyone knows what it is or how I might safely clean it off, I'm all ears (eyes?).

...and don't say I should use a knife. ;)

Image

Ah, Parababy Guiron. Fantastic and just what I expected. Everything about the figure is great from the sculpt with its dynamic pose that perfectly captures Guiron's spirit in the film down to the colorful, detailed paint job. And he was quite cheap, too! In fact, I got good deals on all of these toys. Now to wait for the big purchase to arrive... maybe next week. I probably would not have bought these if I knew what I was going to spend on Biollante. Guess I'm not going out to eat anywhere nice this month. lol

Varan looks great! All the detail on the skin made me think he was one of those universe glitter casts and not unpainted black. If I were you, I'd leave Varan alone completely, but if you must have him painted, it better be by a pro and needs to take advantage of that beautiful black vinyl, not cover all of it in paint.

That goo on Manda is the result of the figure remaining MISB for so long, and is a reason why collecting those vinyls without ever opening them always seemed crazy to me. You should be able to wash it off with soap and water.

The unpainted version of that Varan honestly looks better than the painted version I'm used to seeing.

So after dealing with another japanese contact in Tokyo I managed to purchase and recieve my first Marmit Monster Heaven figure! Its an awesome one too. I got this exclusive Super Festival version of the Marmit G 64'. It even comes with an extra Para-baby mothra larva to go with it. Anyways pics below.

Really I love the sculpt on this figure. Although stylized the prominent brows on Godzilla's face along with the wobbly upper lip really does give this figure the spirit of the G'64 suit. The rest of the body, claws and legs/feet do the same. As a Super Festival version, this figure features a nice metallic green paint job. A nice brown spray is used for the eyebrows, front torso and underside of the tail, and a few other spots on the figure. The gold highlights on the claws, fins and eyes are just the icing on the cake. It finishes off the figure very nicely.

The para-baby mothra larva is mollded in black and painted with a dark metallic brown. The eyes are also painted gold. Nice touch.

Again I am quite pleased with this figure. Once again Jomei I must thank you for posting those Youtube videos that detail your collection. Your video on the Marmit Monster Heaven G64 really helped me finalize my decision with getting this figure. Definitely liking what I see in front of me and may get a few more marmits in the future.

Also just for size comparison, the Marmit G64 next to my Gigabrain Black Ghidorah.

Marmit's Mosugoji is indeed a nice figure. :D I have a couple variants, and yours looks pretty nice, too--love the subtle metallic green sprays. Awesome that you got the little Mothra with it! And I'm glad my videos positively influenced someone. :o

Titanosaurus is here! And honestly he's even better than I expected. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

It's an incredible, colorful figure. A lot of the things that initially bugged me about it became non-issues once I had it in my hands. An antennae and one of the ear fins came out of the box a little bent, but it was easily fixed with a blow dryer. If you can afford it I highly recommend it. It's a knockout.

Not as exciting as Titanosaurus, but I got this in today. I'm DEAD BROKE now, so this will be the last thing until I get paid later this month. I wouldn't have bought this if I hadn't pre-ordered it months ago--I don't like to back out of a deal if I can help it.

Image

I wasn't totally sure about him, and this one does walk a fine line between articulation and sculpt smoothness, but overall I'm satisfied with him. The figure has a great presence that gives life to the rambunctious Redking.
