I just love the third and fourth ones. So many memories of watching the Japanese versions of the 70s and 90s films.
To answer gdog's question: only three Godzilla films had the words "Toho Scope" attatched to the logo. Those films were KKvsG, Mothra vs Godzilla and Ghidrah.
Anyway, to be even more specific
Logo 1: Godzilla and Godzilla Raids Again
Logo 2: KKvsG, Mothra vs Godzilla and Ghidrah
Logo 3: Everything from Monster Zero through Terror of Mechagodzilla
Logo 4: Basically (since it was tweaked just a little bit after the 80s) all the Heisei films. Notice it's no longer in TohoScope
Logo 5: Back to TohoScope again. Otherwise it's pretty similar to the last one.
Logo 6: Currently following the Toho Logo after every G film starting with G2K, replacing the "Toho Eizo Productions/"Toho Productions" blue screen logo that started with "Godzilla vs Gigan" in 1972.
Other notes:
The very first Godzilla film features an extra logo/credit/something before the Toho logo. Dont know exactly what it means.
Reissue versions of KKvsG, Mothra vs Godzilla and Ghidrah do not have the "TohoScope" writing on the logo.
Godzilla vs Mothra (92) through GxM do not have music over the opening logos. Every other Godzilla film save the first does however.
Interesting non-Godzilla film trivia. Toho toyed with the logo "Toho Pan Scope" for just one picture, placing it against a jeweled background in stead of the classic stips of color background we're all used to. Which film was this?
