Yeah >_> that one is a bit of a weird one. I could sit back and enjoy it as a lost UA/Toho Studios Production, but I wouldn't say it was exactly "Good".

I don't think it was as good as Spy Who Loved Me or For Your Eyes Only (which is where this was placed).

See, I don't really care for Moore's stuff after Spy Who Loved Me. Moonraker is terrible, and while I don't mind some of his 80s films they're merely okay (they're better than Moonraker...not that it takes much effort to do that). I think I recall liking Octopussy more the last time I watched it.

I think Moonraker is an even greater offense to me since it's probably my 2nd favorite Bond novel. (Admittedly I've only read the first five).

I like them all (the official ones, anyway) to some degree, but the Connery films are my favorite. Not only do I prefer his portrayal of the character (the coolest ever put to film), I love the beautiful 60s photography and incredible John Barry scores. I even like Lazenby's film, even though George's performance is lacking at times.

From Russia with Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Lazenby)
Dr. No
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds Are Forever

I like Tim Dalton's Bond a lot but think both his films are pretty poor. Same with Moore, who I thought brought a lot of good humor to the role, although that became the focal point of many of his movies. Brosnan certainly looks like James Bond, but I've never been a huge fan of his performance or his movies.

Daniel Craig is a great actor and I love what he's brought to the Bond role. I hear a lot of people say his portrayal is closest to the Flemming books, but since I've never been able to get into those, I can't say if that's true or not. Regardless, his Bond is the toughest, and it shows. I wish he'd bring the charm and gentleman attitude back to the character (now that his Bond has gone through two horrible personal episodes), but we'll see if he does that with SKYFALL or not. Of Craig's films, I loved CASINO ROYALE and would definitely recommend it. QUANTUM OF SOLACE didn't do a damn thing for me, though, and it's probably my least favorite Bond film.

I don't really care for Brosnan's stuff other than Goldeneye. Which is weird, as a kid I loved all of them (except Die Another Day) Then I rewatched them and finally saw how subpar they are. As for Dalton, I've always loved License to Kill. Connery isn't my favorite Bond, but he had a better run of films than the others got.

Quantum of Solace (which I've only seen once) wasn't really bad...but it felt worse on account of it coming after the amazing Casino Royale.
