Hopefully the positive reaction to this short will fire some kind of spark over at Marvel.

I believe the rights have reverted back to Marvel, butI actually think a new Punisher with Jane could work. The first Jane film doesn't have him actually BECOME the Punisher until the very end, and War Zone also ended in an open ended way... No disrespect to Ray Stevenson, but they could easily just make a new Punisher that doesn't directly reference any of the older films, but still serve as a loose sequel.

I actually just now watched the short and I dug it. It captures the twisted insanity of the character better than either film, IMO.

The Punisher might just be the most disturbing "superhero" around... he's more or less a serial killer who kills killers. He's more Taxi Driver than Arnold Schwarzenegger, but for some reason none of the films want to reflect that. The guy is out of his mind.
