Its $76 million domestic take, while certainly underperforming, isn't a bomb. If that qualifies as a bomb, then so does Superman Returns and King Kong.
Like I said, you can't look at just domestic grosses anymore. Knight and Day disappointed here, but made $261,930,404 worldwide.
The reason? Tom Cruise is a HUGE international star. He can get away with movies that underperform stateside because they make so much worldwide. Even though the "death" of Tom Cruise's domestic box office clout has, as usual, been greatly exaggerated by the media.
