If Godzilla is a more grounded in reality-type film I don't mind. I like the outlandish stuff, too - but my favorite director is making Pacific Rim, which sounds like everything outlandish we love with a 200 mil budget backing it!

We're really getting the best of both worlds.

It doesn't matter to me if Godzilla is the kind of Godzilla film I would make. I just want it to be good and be recognizably Godzilla.

I just want to see a destroyer off the coast hitting them with heavy fire and nothing but making Godzilla more ticked off...
