The ending has supposedly been leaked by some people who were at the recent screenings.

I'll say this... IF it is true, it will provide a great closure for the character. Some fanboys are gonna get all butthurt about it, but personally, I love it... I hope its true. I have reason to believe as of now that it is... not gonna say what I'm basing that on, other than it has something to do with some recent comments by Nolan.

Here it is, if anybody REALLY wants to know... but take it with a grain of salt.... highlight.

After defeating Bane and crew, Bruce fakes his own death a la Dark Knight Returns and hangs up the Bat-suit. The ending finds him away from Gotham and being with Selina.

A lot of people will have a problem with this, but I don't. Not only is it fine as a way to complete the character's arc, but it provides Bruce with something he's always wanted in the comics, but cannot accomplish due to the need to churn out more comics and tell more Batman stories.... Bruce actually achieves happiness here.... and I like that. Again, it might be totally fake, but I like this idea.

I usually avoid big spoilers, but I admit I looked this up to dispel a current theory that a lot of my friends (and not me) seem to believe.
