Once upon a time, the movie poster was a work of art, a true spectacle of artistic talent and sometimes nonsensical artistic license. It was one of the main advertisements for a movie and could turn people away or bring them in out of sheer curiosity. These days, crappy photoshopping that I could do myself in about 2.47 minutes has become the norm and movie posters are generally not as awesome...

...but there are literally THOUSANDS of amazing and awesome movie posters out there (and some of them are even recent ones), I thought we could have a topic devoted to the best of the best of the best...sir!

That Alligator poster is pretty simple, but I love the way the gator looks.

Even though I ddn't care for the film, I loved the poster for King Kong (1976).
