I've debated getting that smokestack Hedorah for awhile, but I could never decide on which color scheme I liked best.

Here's the latest X-Plus addition to my Matango collection:

I wasn't sure if I should get it due to some pictures I've seen of it online, but the figure is soooo much better in person. I love it. 30cm scale too. It comes with a plain wooden display base, but unfortunately there's no pegs or anything to stick the figure to it. So I'm just keeping the stand in the box. The figure could use additional support, but it does stand fine by itself. Definitely one of my favorite X-Plus figures though. The box is awesome, I should've taken pictures of that as well, but oh well.

I had no real plans to pick up more Bandai Creation vinyls, but I ran across the Mechagdzilla from the recent wave of figures.

I never owned a Showa version, and figured it would be a cheap placeholder, until I come across a better version.

Image

It's not the greatest version out there, especially with the widespread arms, but it'll look fine standing with Titanosaurus.

Uni Five. He's marked 1996. There's an AWESOME Ghidorah to compliment him.

Here he is on my pile of videogames to sell... damn that's gonna be a pain.

LOL! I'm more open to it when it's clean! And I'm sorry. I did promise you pics of Kong, I just never had this place fully organized BEFORE bringing in all the games. Plus I've been busy with two new offices and a bunch of server and worksation builds/rebuilds. I only just became able to walk without worry of stepping on screws or PC parts last Friday... and the office still isn't organized! I'm taking ten days off starting Saturday, so I plan to get as much done on the house (games being the biggest part) as possible... I really don't think I'll be left alone for the full ten days, but "on call" is better than new builds, at least.

I dragged out my Godzilla Collectibles book, but am still not certain which Banpresto banks you're referring to. I have the 98 Zilla and Heisei SD banks - clear ones, but no Mothra or Ghidorah that I can think of. Any pics?

Check out for the Uni Five banks. Do a search for "godzilla bank." Both are $49, each, which is a bit less than what I paid for them, overall. Wish I'd known they were there! Can't remember what batteries they need, but they sound cool.

EDIT:
I DID take a pic of Kong after all!
He's now surrounded by by wrapped Trendmasters prototypes and blocked by 70 or so Atari games, but here he is a couple months back!
...don't really like that phone there, though.

I just ordered this figure, one I've been wanting and watching for since I started collecting a year ago. THRILLED to be getting it... probably in a few days.

Marusan Goji

Postby Kingboy D » Wed Jun 27, 2012 8:38 pm

These photos are a few months old, and I've recently added the original standard color (brown) of this toy, but I thought I'd share these pics.

This is a Marusan vinyl modeled after the old Bullmark tin of Jiras (and consequently Goji, sans the frill). And yes, the frill can be removed on this. The mouth moves, and it has molded wheels (don't move) on the feet. Its about a foot tall.

The bright green one is a recent customization done for me over a glow vinyl. The dark blue one is a Wonderfest exclusive. I loves me this mold.
