I skimmed through the AVPgalaxy forums. Some trustworthy guys answered questions after seeing the film. Some of their English isn't the greatest but yeah...the website has also catalogued all of the reviews found on-line. You can kind of piece things together from all the various different sources.

And I know that this film is it's own thing BUT...I really wanted a more satisfying/ Quasi-Xenomorph of full on Xenomorph than it sounds like we got. Save it for the end but f'n bring him out of retirement for one last show ya know.

And I can't make heads or tales out of the reasoning for the Space Jockey's doing what they're doing. It's kind of like in the remake of War of the Worlds...if you've had the ships buried here all along why not kill us all 200 years ago?

I kind of figured (guess I'm wrong) that the Space Jockey's created us as one half of a bio-weapon...we were designed to be mated with the facehugger. It's our other half if you will...our whole purpose is to die. I thought that's what they were going to reveal as that's an absolutely terrifying concept. Oh well....

If it makes you feel any better that's the one area I'm fuzzy about. I may or not have spoiled anything...I think what I stated has previously been stated by Ridley Scott in interviews. Anyways...no more spoilers on my part :wink:

I just hope some of the negativity is minor stuff being blown out of proportion, because I was really expecting this to come off without a hitch. I hadn't even considered the movie being bad or disappointing. :lol:

It seems like the best thing to do is go in with a clean slate and judge the movie on what it IS rather than what we want it to be, that is to say, not dwelling on "well I would have preferred this to happen" or "I would have done this differently" or whatever.

Through that mentality, I've come to KIND OF appreciate Revenge of the Sith... its not that good of a movie, but in terms of a Star Wars prequel, its really not all that bad.

I know what I SHOULD do...but it's hard when you're this emotionally invested. The Alien franchise was my Star Wars growing up...got a Kenner Alien figure when I was 7...begged my dad to let me watch the films...had tons of nightmares afterwords but I was hooked.

I've literally thought about the space jockey story for nearly 20 years now. At this point, no matter what they did it'd probably be a let down except there are tons of fan plot lines out there that sound like better movies then what we're getting.

I think what makes me the most angry here is that this film doesn't seem to answer any questions...it's betting that we'll get a second Prometheus films and I HATE when films end assuming there's going to be a sequel. Hellboy 2 anyone?
