Watched The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973). Ugh. It's, I guess it's fun on a very basic level, but nowhere near the amount of enjoyment found in the first film. I'm probably gonna trudge through Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger next. Maybe I'll just marathon a bunch of Harryhausen stuff. I think I always liked this as a kid, but seeing it for the first time since then...well it hasn't really aged all that well.

I'd agree with Kali, and the Homonculus was okay, but nothing else really outshone anything else I've seen him do.

Recently seen The Avengers and I loved it! The Hulk was definitely the highlight of the whole movie. :)

I hope I can get to see Men in Black 3 this Memorial day. However, in the mean time I did rent 2001: A Space Odyssey, so I'll keep myself entertained until then.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi

A documentary about Jiro Ono, a sushi master who runs his tiny three-Michelin star restaurant in a Ginza subway station.

Guess what I had for dinner afterward?

So I saw both 2001 and MiB3, and I loved them both.

MiB3 was a fun flick. It was humorous and went slightly in depth on the backgrounds of both agents J and K.

2001 blew me away!!! I have NEVER seen this movie before, but have read the book a few times and regard it as a personal fav. So seeing the movie, I was stunned. I enjoyed the book immensely and seeing it adapted into a glorious form of art was amazing. The soundtrack was excellent and perfect. The effects were damn right stunning. The Stargaze scene was almost terrifying in a way. Space terrifies me already and taking an Astronomy class didn't seem to help, Lol.

I must say this though, the apes were performed and looked astonishing. To be performed by actors, to look incredibly real, it was amazing. I can see why this film revolutionized SciFi films in general, its amazing!!
