Ah! I'll go a step farther and say the Bandai theater version comes off as the better figure. At least, for the price you're paying. Anyone at ComiCon picking this up for $55, more power to ya. But you know this "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" is gonna be over $100 on eBay from the get go. For that price, I'd rather have the old Bandai theater figure. Then again, you could probably manage that meltdown pose with this guy.
I guess for a limited and exclusive run, there's not a whole lot they could do that would be relatively inexpensive and still make a splash. Pretty cool they're doing anything at all, actually.
I dunno guys, just not lusting after this figure like I do most other Godzilla junk... weird. And this one is tailored for collectors, too.
