i much prefer Leviathan to the thing because of it's up beat ending

and of course is has plenty of monster action and a CEO get her light punched out. 8-)

This movie sucks... and yes, I realize it is an underwater body horror movie with a giant monster, Peter Weller and Ernie Hudson... meaning, it is everything I love about movies rolled into one. But somehow, the movie still manages to blow.

And I don't recall the ending being upbeat... didn't (SPOILER) several of the main characters just die abruptly for no real reason other than to have a "shock" ending?

I love this film BUT better than The Thing or heck, The Thing From Another World it aint.
