I didn't find any issues with either Agul or Gaia. I'm not sure what the waist issue was for these, but both figures have tight joints.

The ball joints on the ankles allow for some really dynamic poses.





The flash of my camera gave a cool effect in this shot. I like the way it turned out.


I was messing around with my new Tiga Skytype figure too.





Thinking about it, I don't know if Bandai will go back redo the likes of Tiga or Mebius with the better bodies right away. I really don't feel like buying all of the different versions of Tiga again. I'm hoping Bandai waits a bit before revisiting these guys. We still need release dates for Ultras like Taro, Ace, & Jack first.

Tiga would be easier to revisit than Mebius, but either way we won't see them get newer figures, if at all, until more of the Ultra Brothers or other Heisei guys like Nexus and Max come out first. The one figure I felt that had the biggest absence right now is actually Cosmos, but Bandai is known for not being very timely about movie appearances.

@ GojiraPrime: Nice pics and thanks for the feedback on what you thought of Agul. Though there has been some stated issues by people who had Agul, seems like yours made it a-okay.

Just received my latest Ultra-Act in the form of Ultraman Dyna (Flash Type).





I have to say the designers at Bandai are becoming more innovative with addressing some of the issues that some of the figures had.

For one, Dyna uses a body type similar to Gaia with changes to the upper body.



The chest armor is removable to switch with an alternate chest armor that allows better movement for the shoulders and arms. Tiga was especially guilty of his chest armor hindering the shoulders, and limiting some poseability.The changeable chest armor corrects that issue.





I hope they stick with the ball joint ankles as they're much more stable than some of the older joints that were used.



Dyna approves!

Dyna also has the adapter option to plug into the Tamashii stands. Looks like this will be the norm for future Ultras.

well here is a standing pose pic of the new Ultraman that doesn't have the Brothers Mantle on. Now we can really see what it looks like without all the bending and twisting posing. Looks really like the tv show and movies now with the new sculpt. I posted pics of the prior version of the figure so you can see the improvements.

Yeah I find the running effects to really be of little "effect". No Ultras really showcased that a lot, but if it happened, it was so short in memory. I would have liked for them to produce the green spiral beam that was used to defeat Keronia. They already have somewhat a blue print for making it if you look at one of Zoffy's effects, he has a blue transparent semi-spiral to attach to his hand ray. With the green beam used to defeat Keronia, you just make it a longer ray. It would use about the same amount of plastic to do it if you combine both of the ground dash effects together. Though I am just really glad they remade Ultraman and made it look good too, plus with the promise of having tight joints over the long run.

Yo Ultra-Heads - got a question about the upcoming web exclusives -

What the heck is "Andromeros" from? Is he from the Killer the Beatstar thing along with Jean-Killer? From what I've gathered Jean-Killer is the evil version of Jean-Bot. What's the story on Andromeros?

I need to see this thing...anyone know if there's a release out there with subs? I don't know anything about Jean-Killer, but I'm tempted to get him just because he looks cool.

much like I was doing with figure pic comparisons to show off the new improved Ultraman over the first release version, Tamashii has taken that further in showing comparison pics not just of the looks of the two, but how the joints have greatly improved between them. Seeing various stances and comparisons, this new Ultraman is a dream for the fans of Shin Hayata Ultraman.

A pic at the bottom shows all the Ultra Brothers with mantles on. I looked at the Ultraseven in a magnified way, but that is the old Ultraseven. I noticed the ankle joints are the old style.

with this done, why don't they release a collar change piece for Dyna to have the red first form look. Would be simple. I suppose we will see a Ultraman Dyna form of Miracle or Strong in the near future since "forms" is still in the Heisei Ultra plan with this latest reveal.
