So, just which 'childhood legends' are getting used for the Guardians?

Wow, yeah it actually does seem like it could be an interesting movie. I wonder who the villain is supposed to be?

P.S. Allow me again to express my disappointment that Disney has effectively ceded the "light fantasy" stories (there's probably a more apt description) to Dreamworks Animation.

The Shrek movies, How to Train Your Dragon, and now this movie -- Dreamworks hit a gold vein with Shrek and has continued to follow it with success.

Where in the world is Disney? They used to cover this "light comedic fantasy" (again for want of a better term) so well. Why wasn't Disney readying a CGI animated Gummi Bears movie once the second Shrek movie proved to be a success, or even sooner?
