So here's a question...my first Bandai Godzilla was the 1962 figure from the early '80s. I had two of them over the course of my childhood (after shattering the first one in a sandbox), both purchased at Mr. Big Toyland in Waltham, MA.
Kinggoji seems to be one of the most popular designs, and yet aside from high-end collectibles there have hardly been any figures of him since that first Bandai figure. There have been a few X-Plus figures and the super-rare Godzilla Memorial figure (which still ticks me off), plus the Y-MSF figures, but - for example - Bandai Creations has never given us a Kinggoji, though we've gotten multiple Shodaigojis.
It seems to me Toho is still pretty proud of King Kong vs. Godzilla as the most successful G-film ever; why not produce more mass market product for it?
For me, a MonsterArts Kinggoji would be a dream come true, but I just don't see it happening if we can't even get a freely-available 6" Bandai vinyl.
