Well, the way I typically do things would apply here...buy bare-bones release, then, when special edition comes out, buy that and pass bare-bones release on to a friends kid to enjoy. Everybody wins!

Well that f'n sucks. I doubt they'll survive long enough to re-release a better version of MEGALON. If that actually happens, I'll be very surprised.

I'll buy a barebones and then a SE. If they released the barebones on both blu and DVD, I'll pick up the blu. Then when/if the SE comes out, I'll get it on DVD thus having the movie on both formats.

Will MB still be releasing the soundtrack as well?
