I barely recall renting Gorath about a zillion years ago (in Beta format, no less!). If memory serves, all scenes of the giant walrus were excised from the US cut? Don't recall much else about the film, except the crazy climax where the Antarctica-sized man-made rocket powers the Earth out of harm's way! Sure would like to get a decent DVD or Blu-Ray of this flick one of these days. (Are you listening, Media Blasters/Tokyo Shock?)

GORATH, along with THE HUMAN VAPOR, and THE LAST WAR are all in the hands of MGM here in the States, so Media Blasters wouldn't be able to release any of those.

So, I know it's a bad movie, but I really, really love Space Amoeba. I love the island phase in Godzilla films, and this film really feels like the pinacle of that phase to me. I guess the ordering of my top non-G films would be:
