I tried to watch this the other day for the first time in a long time, and couldn't even get through it. I was seriously bored to tears, and hearing Ifukube's theme's pop up every now and then was the only thing keeping me going..and even that wasn't enough.

There is just something so "lifeless" about this movie that I can't quite put my finger on. At least SPACEGODZILLA is so ridiculous, it's entertaining as a result. This film is just boring as *$&%.

It was cool when I saw it as a new film...but that was 1994, and I was a Godzilla-obsessed 10 year old.. The film has aged horribly since then, and is easily my least favorite Mechagodzilla film.

I think "lifeless" is one of the best ways to described the Heisei films.

And with this film, the lack of someone to root for is the least of its problems (I don't even feel this is a problem).

I completely forgot how awesome this movie is. It is just down right incredible. It has a lot of monster action, incredible effects, and I do not care if it is on VHS, DVD, or BD, it has by far the best sound mixing out of the entire Heisei series. From the score to the sound effects, this movie is just a joy to listen to. As great as Mothra vs Godzilla and Ghidorah are, this movie and Biollante blow the entire Showa series out of the water.

Now I wait for the flame war to begin!!
