Just got done reading this thread (how did I miss this??) and now that I'm done there's really only one question that keeps spinning around in my head...

We're not qualified to critique special effects in any movie unless we've seen them in a theater? That probably disqualifies a good 99% of American Godzilla/Gamera/Ultraman fandom from saying anything about the special effects in the movies we love so much.

If I watched a beautiful HD print of Destroy all Monsters on my huge 55" TV in Japanese with the 5.1 audio turned on and someone else watches a theatrical presentation of the dubbed International print via the ADV release, who is more qualified to judge the movie?
