I think they tried to later play it off as "Kane's scarring was emotional" or something.

Doesn't make it less lame, but that's what they attempted.

Apparently he had vocal cord surgery so he could talk, this was when he first switched to the type of mask he is wearing now.

That's also when he started calling his fans "Kaneinites" (or something like that).

I honestly don't know for sure that I hate the new Brodus Clay character...but like everyone in the audience (i was not at the show, btw), I had no idea how to process it...0 pop, 0 reaction.

Meanwhile, Jericho has become boring, and Kane's return can officially be considered a botch. Putting the mask back on him is worthless if you're going to treat him just like any other performer and not a truly unstoppable monster.

The most interesting thing going on in the WWE right now, CM Punk vs. John Laurinaitis, is not getting top billing while we are forced to watch Kane lurk around corners in a way that could only be more cartoon-villain-like if he had a handlebar mustache that he was twirling while laughing nasaly.

That was a really good Raw tonight...I mean, from end to end (for the most part) it delivered.

It is a bit upsetting/unnerving/unsettling to see that Evan Bourne's extracurricular activity basically caused HHH to make the tag titles insignificant again (a title change at a house show?), but they did a really REALLY (surprisingly) good job with Ryder/Swagger/Cena/Kane. Ryder loses the title but looks strong in doing so. Swagger looks like a bit of a jerk, but upon close examination, he only gave Ryder 3 powerbombs because Ryder kept kicking out. So then when Cena goes bananas, he looks like a complete tool for taking it out on the wrong person. Then Kane keeps it short and to the point. Well done. Bravo.

Brodus Clay's gimmick has grown on me now that I've seen it a couple of times. I don't know if I really want to see him in any big time matches until after the Rumble, but I do hope the squash match stuff ends soon and he can get into a real feud.

And CM Punk is great as usual AND Jericho did great tonight. Solid show.

they gave Undertaker a pretty good reason for wanting a rematch with HHH...

now, can they give HHH a good reason for accepting?

everything else on Raw sucked this week.

You know what's kind of funny Rock hasn't been around since Survivor Series I thought for sure they would have had him at the Rumble.

Another funny thing about The Rock and coming back to WWE is that everyone thought he'd be around for the long haul he's made what about five live apperances since his return? No I don't count those satitlite feeds as appearances.

He'll probably make an appearance the week before WM and the night after then he'll disappear again.

I really thought Rock was gonna be back for a good haul, too...his movie career has been pretty horrible thus far, I thought he'd wanna come back.

Guess not. Though maybe he's putting a lot of work in GI Joe...

I heard a radio spot for "Carl Casper's Custom Auto Show" this morning where they advertised an appearance by "Wrestling's ultimate warrior... REY MYSTERIO!!" WTF? Talk about false advertising... At first I thought maybe they meant both the Ultimate Warrior and Rey Mysterio would be there, and the guy just misread it... So I checked the website and they actually have a big splash graphic saying "Rey Mysterio, the Ultimate! Masked Warrior"...

Really makes me wonder if they're just ignorant or if they're intentionally hoping some people misunderstand the spot... not that the Ultimate Warrior is a draw anymore or if most of the kids even know who the heck he is. Just seemed odd to me.
