I got my Goji today, haven't played with him too much yet but to me, the sculpt looks really good, the paint is beautifully-coloured (there are a couple tiny spots on his toenails, eyes look fine to me though) and the poseablity is obviously better than any other Goji figure currently available. The breath accessory is really well done.

If I had to pick one thing to complain about (and I do, since this is the internet :wink:

) it would be the figure's hands. His hands are HUGE. And I don't know if it's just my figure, maybe someone else can confirm, but his right hand looks weird - the pinky finger is about the same size as the thumb. When I first unboxed him I thought he had two left hands attached. :shock:

Apart from the hands, I think it's a solid figure and I'm happy to have it. SAL shipping from HLJ only took six business days! The Japanese postal system never fails to impress me.

I'm not planning to grab Mechagodzilla, but I will be watching to see who else Bandai releases in this line, and will likely purchase a few more of these - it's great to have such highly poseable kaiju toys. Will definitely grab KG when he's released, and I hope to see G2000, MKG, and Biollante.

^ While it is undoubtedly hard to find 1/700 scale tanks and military ground vehicles, it is really really easy to find 1/700 scale naval ships. From your naval destroyers, to aircraft carriers and battleships. 1/700 jets are also really easy to come by as they are both sold separately and included with aircraft carrier and other ship models. Do look around and find something you like.

If your a newbie like me at model kits, do start by getting the pre-painted kits from Takara, like the ones featured here.

The great thing about the models above is that they are pre-painted and only need basic assembly using tweezers and some glue (where necessary). The finished products look awesome. And the great thing about that naval destroyer above is that its current and is something that the Japanese navy uses even today. Plus the model opens up to reveal the cross-sectional layout of the decks inside!
